Is the collaboration of four fine laydies who said “Dyke cuntry music? Hell Yeah!”
Sassy and sultry country, bluegrass and blues classics with a twist or two. About as wholesome and pure as any group of Canadian lesbians can be. Suitable for audiences that bat for any softball team you like.
Bushy Park Philosophy
My philosophy is simple: It’s a down-home, common, horse-sense approach to things. – Dolly Parton
Bushy Park is the dyke country band from a very small very gay friendly town we would like to have grown up in. In Bushy Park we believe in the words of Dolly Parton and the power of country music to help all people, gay and straight and queer and trans and every letter of the alphabet, have fun, sing along and feel good together. Like Dolly, we want to wear what we want, sing what makes us feel good, and share the love we have of country music and other people.
Bushy Park are four mostly cis, queer/lesbian women settlers, living in and around Vancouver Canada.
As Dolly says – “You gotta keep trying to find your niche and trying to fit into whatever slot that’s left for you or to make one of your own.” This is ours.
